    I really hope they some how ended up in the basement level and are alive but can’t get out of the labyrinth just yet. A wipe out doesn’t make any sense for this novel.

      that’s what i suspected too. the basement was the only place where they would not be teleported out

    They got caught by someone most likely. Lee Bak ho got in and got out through another method, so it’s possible they got out through another portal.
